Mr. President:
Let’s be clear, concise, and upfront with each other.
I would like to trust my president! I would like to find out that my distrust has been misplaced, totally wrong!
Because of our different philosophies, and the track record (of people that believe as you do, and those who are said to be your mentors and friends), I’ve come to distrust what you say! Admittedly, that may not be fair, and I’m aware of that.
I truly hope and pray that I’ve been wrong, but because of others’ (who believe as you do) . . . . their callousness and their track records, and the things you’ve done already that I disagree with, (putting America so far into debt, your appointing people I totally distrust and your unwillingness to be fair by listening . . . and also, you seem to be excluding even listening to us, the other side, repeating redundantly, the fact that you won, so . . . . that’s just the way things are).
Then, there’s the things I consider to be your broken promises already!
Because of all this, I’m going to ask you, to reveal to us something, that I would not have otherwise asked; I’m going to ask you to prove, to myself and those who believe as I do . . .
PLEASE PROVE TO US, THAT YOU WERE NOT LYING!
When you said, yesterday, . . . . AFTER, saying you’d like to see the number of abortions decrease . . . . you said, . . . and I quote: ” . . . and so I’ve got a task force in the West Wing of the White House that is working with groups both in the pro-choice and in the Pro-Life camp, to see if we can arrive at some consensus on that.”
. . . . somehow, Mr. President, I don’t believe you! . . . . that you’re actually working with a Pro-Life group, a truly legitimately Pro-Life group!
Please prove me wrong!
I don’t think I am, but hope and pray that I am wrong.
Please tell us which group! I don’t believe any truly-legitimate Pro-Life group believes you enough, after the things you’ve said, to even consider that there may be a way to come to any acceptable consensus . . . .
Again, I hope I’m wrong. I pray that I am, for I’d like to have faith in our leader. At this point, I do not!
Years ago, Mr. President, I had an accident – one that disabled me for years and put me through subsequent operations after, having ‘physically died on the recovery table’. I’d gotten caught in a downdraft while on a hang-glider. I recovered. I don’t feel this nation will (recover) because, of the “downdraft”, . . . . the spiral, which you’ve put us into . . . I’m not quite sure how you have the audacity to risk the well-being of America, . . . . rather, in light of our position as the most giving nation in the world, and the most righteous, . . . how you have the audacity to risk the well-being of the entire world. If it were only a matter of ‘you think, you’re right’, how could you risk this? To be totally honest, . . . to me, it seems, thought subtly, . . . risking this, is extremely evil.
I tend to begin to assume, it’s a “half-empty / half-full perspective”; that you’re a member of the hate-America first club and I’m a true conservative, admitting there are many things wrong with us, but . . . . then, . . . . I begin to remember the people like Attorney General Eric Holder and how he was part of bad decisions – pardons, Elian, and Waco, and Kathleen Sebelius . . . . . how you repeat the concept that you watched, frustrated for years and now you’ve won, and the Constitution and our founding principles seem to be out the window . . . . and all this at a time when we have our most dangerous enemy in history – that having resulted in the twin towers, the U.S.S. Cole, suicide bombings, etc., . . . . and your seeming trust in the totally corrupt United Nations. I think . . . assume, the news media’s ineptness and love affair with your presidency has allowed them to not press you, much less challenge you.
To wrap this up, if you’re NOT working with also a Pro-Life group, and you made that up, . . . er, lied, then that speaks to your character – to whether we can believe you at all. I hope I’m wrong!
So again, I ask you to please, prove me wrong!
I don’t see any other way that the legacy of your administration / administrating America can be described by anything but one of two, single words! Either “AUDACITY” or, “EVIL”!
Or, to say it another way, you may consider this next statement ‘audacious’, and I understand this sounds sacrosanct, but . . . . if America were compared to Jesus, history could very aptly compare you to Judas!
