A.P. Reporter Ed Tucker must have been hard up for news! Or maybe he wrote his piece over googling ….. not the net type of googling ….. the old type!
Evidently he decided to call the Foxy Lady’s Strip Club owner’s “job fair”, news-worthy. All that was needed was pretty women – hardbodies …… Using poor puns like, “The naked truth is that Rhode Island’s economy is among the worst in the nation, with an unemployment rate of 10.3 percent in January”, he tried to relate it to news – not at all beneath today’s attempt to make fluff seem to be “news”, he tries to relate it to the economy. “It’s taken a hit,” he said. “It’s not as bad as restaurants and stuff like that. In times like this, they (customers) seem to drink their sorrows away.”
Now that I think of it, ….. it was reported that the 911 terrorists spent their last night in a strip bar …… (so much for their religous fervour!)
Anyway, nice try, Ed …… just what today’s media seems to want; you played right into this strip club’s need for free advertising! Just the kind of “fluff” they love; I’ll expect to see it on the tube tonight.
(In case you don’t recognize sarcasm, thought I’d spell it out for you!)
