Yes- the `peace loving FARC’ activist terror entity, currently hosted as real time partners for peace by Colombia and team Obama in Havana in one of the worst travesties ostensibly to legitimize terror in Latin America, have been caught by the Colombian military just before the FARC received their latest shipment of rocket launchers, destined to cause grave harm and death.
One may assume that Santos would terminate the false peace talks. I rather doubt he will but he should and must.
Where this occurred seems to be spitting distance- about one hour by road- from Ecuador’s border with Colombia.
We need more facts. We all know that Ecuador permits weapons and drugs for Hezbollah and its pals the FARC and the Mexican cartels out of Manta, Ecuador, the sole deep water port on the Pacific side of Lat Am. Some now speculate that Correa’s military itself has clandestinely sold the rocket launchers capable of bringing down jets. Others tell me they assume the shipment came through the naval port at Manta, able to deliver and also receive serious shipments. As I say….we need more facts.
I wager right now that soon enough Uribe will have more details. It is rather sad that Uribe, when not monitored, and not the US embassies nor the Santos folks are the ones we turn to for facts. Certainly nothing honest will come from the FARC…in Havana as spokesmen…for terror.
Were these weapons destined to move along for Hezbollah usage at a later date or vice versa? We do not yet know.
These Russian-origin rocket launchers are anti-tank and can fell jets. Also hundreds of grenades [ for launching? also] were seized by the Colombian military. It is said that the Colombian military’s press conference was today- recently but no date stated yet as to the actual confiscation. I hold with my assumption that the Ecuadorean government, which runs the Manta base of and for Correa assisted in this and scores of contrabands’ trans shipments. We need verification. There are of course numerous scenarios for this not isolated nor One Off confiscation.
