UPDATE BELOW: (in red italics)
If I wrote only what I knew you’d agree with, you could call me a “panderer”. Though you may agree with this, as a Christian, I challenge you – “are you truly “walking the walk”? What I’m referring to is: “Train a child up in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6.
Do you homeschool them, … your children? Or, as instructed, are you and your children truly “set apart“?
Have you given your children over to the state to be educated, molded, and shaped, by their current administration?
Do you hold to your Christians principles on every other issue?
Do you make sure your children see your principles in action? Do they hear and see you take action? It’s obvious there’s a disparity between how it should be and how things actually are …
Another question; just why is there so much push-back against the government’s plan called “Common Core”? It has a slick ad campaign and they ‘say what seems to indicate they have your children’s best interests at heart … If you don’t trust them in passing laws and exploiting tax money, why would you trust them with your most precious thing – – – your children???
Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed into law a bill that dumps the State’s participation in Federal Common Core educational standards and requires instead that Indiana come up with its own set of guidelines.
“I believe our students are best served when decisions about education are made at the State and local level,” said Pence today. “By signing this legislation, Indiana has taken an important step forward in developing academic standards that are written by Hoosiers, for Hoosiers, and are uncommonly high.”
Indiana was an early adopter of Common Core in 2010, and was eventually joined by 45 other States in adopting the Federal benchmark model. President Barack Obama has promoted the nationwide adoption of Common Core standards by offering States incentive grants through the Federal “Race to the Top” initiative.
Indiana is the first State to drop the controversial one-size set of standards. Pence said he believes the replacement standards currently being developed by State educators, stakeholders and elected representatives will provide a blueprint for academic achievement that more faithfully reflects the aspirations of his constituents.
“As the task of writing our new academic standards continues, I am grateful to the more than 100 Indiana educators who have put thousands of hours into a comprehensive, transparent, and rigorous process of academic review and am confident that our state will produce Indiana standards that will prepare our students for success in college, careers, and life,” he said.
Getting their Common Core “program” implemented all across the nation, is very important to them … Ask yourself “why”. Most states are already implementing it with the intent of making our children all alike … yet not all children learn the same, thus their drive for required evaluations and the push to “medicate” our non-conforming little ones which they see as ‘unruly’.
Something’s sincerely out of control; are your children important enough to you to find out the truth?
Just observe the actions of those who move to suppress the questions of those who oppose this 1984-type control … Dare to ask questions at a meeting and you too will risk being cut off, ridiculed, dismissed, or even arrested … like Robert Small.
