GOT HOMOPHOBIA?

“We live in a dark, myopic age of hypocrisy, double standards & bullying!” tweeted an Indian writer reacting to the Supreme Court decision to uphold a law which criminalizes gay sex.

The widespread outrage is understandable.  India’s gay community is in shock after the country’s top court reversed a landmark 2009 Delhi High Court ruling which had decriminalized homosexual acts.

The fact remains that: though we continue to love our children and friends, when they travel this God-Forsaken path, we must look at it in light of God’s laws and also, rationally realize as well that many of us believe that there are current legitimate reasons to keep homosexuality against the law … here, as well.

And like it or not, there are reasons —  “high-risk activity.“    I needn’t go into the physiological reasons, do I?

It’s laudable that lawmakers there, (though not here) are swimming upstream against this world-wide insane political correctness which thinks “loving someone” requires one to condone their actions or at least look the other way.

Realizing this missive too, will receive its fair share of name-calling, I can assure you that though I loved my brother until he died, … that’s no reason to stifle the truth!   Watching him waste away, was not only hard, I learned I also had to grieve for the families of those he may have “taken with him.”
