HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

EagleReflectionCan we agree to quit calling it just “the forth”?   Independence day is actually what it is, and how we should reverently refer to it.

Right now, this morning, as I woke, I had the radio station on from Seattle was on – KVI-am.   What a great station and host to have on!

First, John Carlson was presenting the great events in the news (so far) about this year.   book Rev SummerThen he began an interview of the author of “REVOLUTIONARY SUMMER”, (meaning 1776) by Joseph Ellis.   It’s a great book which I plan to read; it presents not just the war side of that summer, but also the political side, explaining what was happening and what was going on in the minds of the people …… kind of related to that great movie, “The Patriot”.   Read this too please.

MaherHe then, presented bigoted Bill Maher (Sp?) – (what a contrast!) except this was where he discussed the violence of the Islamic religion and he actually made sense, … for once.

Next, he read the part of the Constitution which talked of the “why” of our Constitution – all in all a great talk radio host – but fairly new to me!

In telling of this to my lady friend, we talked of Egypt and how it was our Constitution which has fueled the desire for FREEDOM, across the globe …..  Rejection of the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan seems to offer hope; something not to put our hopes in though …. Egypt is described as a “reed” – not something to lean on!

Independence Day is certainly worth celebrating; so many have given so much of themselves (and not just then, but our military continues to do so, …. not just for us, but for others as well) …… lest we forget!

I’ve changed over the last year and find myself questioning why we are such allies with England ….   It was France which helped us …. not the Brits – as they’ve done to others, throughout history, the world over!

I couldn’t be listening to this station here, back in radical, leftist Eugene, unless I had tuned into it, on the net, but I have an internet radio.  I bought it to facilitate my collection of news / talk radio from all over the world – a good buy, much easier to use than trying to find a station on the net!

Just wanted to greet you this morning, and stay in touch, while I encourage you to continue in your correct thought of conservative common sense …..   I pray our nation survives this president; I think it’s truly possible we may not!   Prayer seems to be  America’s only hope ……   Remember the reason we came here and have been so blessed, and what our reasons were for seeking out this land, ….. from the beginning.

About josiahe

Watching closely, working to understand all I may, in this "Age of Information", even from my limited view, I can see much of what's going on ..... and I oft see it's going to impact all of us which is why I share it. My focus is to expose evil, and to serve my Lord and savior Jesus in whatever way He shows me. If one waits long enough, better writers will come along and comment; it's just that I have so little patience with the evil that lurks among us and I've wasted so much time and now, there is so little left! WELCOME!

  1. I carry a gun because I’ve made the personal decision that the person who is 100 percent responsible for the safety of my loved ones is named Tim Schmidt. I carry a gun because I don’t think I’d be able to live with myself if I was ever in a situation where I couldn’t protect my wife and kids. I carry a gun because it is one of the many personal protection layers that I’ve created for myself. I carry a gun because while I expect and hope for good and perfect outcomes, I understand that evil will always exist in our world. I carry a gun because my daughter and my wife each believe that no matter what happens, her daddy and her husband will always be able to protect her. I carry a gun because I want to teach my kids that it will someday be their responsibility to protect their loved ones. I carry a gun because I LOVE life. I carry a gun because I am a responsibly armed citizen.
