There’s a reason I ask. 
So far, no one has suggested this happened in Boston, but this question needs to be asked. Regarding many issues, it seems the media is still in the hip-pocket of the administration … is that the reason they’re all applauding the security and not asking the obvious question?
The reason I ask is …. knowing Eugene, and comparing it to the fact that Boston too, is also a University center, …. And knowing how Eugene subjugates everything to the “powers-that-be” … at the University …… did Boston do what Eugene did? Boston too worships it’s educational system …. just as it does it’s medical system (that, no one can question; they did a wonderful job!)
I have it on good authority, that here in Eugene, …… during the 2012 Olympic Trials which were held here in 2012, …… from somewhere, in the upper echelons of the management of the University of Oregon …… the CERT’s were told to “stand-down” ……. Did the same thing happen in Boston? Did Boston emphasize “SEE SOMETHING? SAY SOMETHING?” New York did / does.
Here in Eugene, this well-known center of ANARCHY, … as radical and riot-prone as Eugene is, terrorism alert was set aside – – – it was dictated to the “Cert Workers” – (the FEMA appointed security volunteers) – – – they were told to “cease and desist the reporting of safety hazards” …
Would that have meant ignoring unidentified backpack & potential bombs?
Eugene, during the Olympic Trials, … held here as a recognition that we are “TRACK TOWN USA,” we were wide open, … vulnerable for a bombing, just like what happened in Boston. The reason given for their not reporting the safety hazards? It was that it was making the University look bad.
If a bombing had happened here, would it have been exposed that they were told to “stand down”? Probably not …. But the relevant question now is could’ve the same thing have happened in Boston? One thing is certain; the media is no friend of the USA!
