Israel is now in ceasefire mode.
The residents of Israel, especially those “w/in range”, are happy that the 12 years of rocket fire, bombings, and the other violence seems to have ended, ……..
Yet a majority of the Israeli population is extremely disappointed because they were hopeful that this time the government would do everything necessary to put a total end to these attackers for good.
They know inside, that another … and soon, even a nuclear attack is already on the horizon … that it’s just a matter of time.
Knowing that the necessary victory was not achieved and that one day, whether 6 days, 6 weeks or 6 months, Hamas will start shooting again. Who knows how effective their Pillar of Defense operation will be with new technology.
As Hamas and Hezbullah are both just puppet terrorist regimes of Iran, the world watches the U.S. to see if we move to stop Iran’s nuclear program …. Many think this attack was ONLY to deflect attention off Iran; it seems to have succeeded.
There is an up-side however.
Hopefully now there are more people in the world who now know that the Muslim terrorists in Gaza, including Hamas, are evil human rights abusers who, not only intentionally target innocent Israeli civilians, execute those suspected of not being ‘loyal’, but also use their own civilians, even children, as human shields. It is just too bad that the western world doesn’t demand that these terrorist networks be destroyed.
Why Israel decided to agree to this ceasefire, without trying to obliterate Hamas, some assume promises unknown were made ….. Political? End it before a ground incursion results in more deaths?
Hamas is really just a puppet organization of Iran to attack Israel. Hizbullah too.
Even though the rockets from Hamas are devastating and kill innocent civilians, the ultimate threat to Israel today remains a nuclear Iran.
Israelis therefore imagine that, under the leadership of PM Bibi Netanyahu, he received certain assurances from the USA, and the western world, in the global effort to deny nuclear capability to Iran. And to receive these assurances Israel had to agree to this ceasefire and allow Hamas to live another day and re-arm themselves for the next conflict.
That begs the question, ‘what makes anyone think the Obama Administration can be trusted?’
Ultimately, we believe it is not fair that Israel not be allowed to destroy her enemies.
Israelis have hope – it’s that … can their leaders can be trusted – ultimately growing numbers are coming to believe, and trust in the One above, … that everything will be ok.
Ultimately, …. when the time has drawn to the point to where Israel has to attack or allow Iran to have and use the bomb, they will NOT hesitate. They cannot. God may be on their side, but it takes action to do His will and protect their people; the people demand that of their leaders … and the world’s understanding then, will NOT be on their side!
