Reported in The Weekly Standard, (it’s blog page) “The Associated Press reported there was a mass prison break in Tripoli, Libya” ……. but a lie of omission is still a lie!
It was a “message” … to the people of Libya, as well as to the U.S. that the terrorists are not going away … that they’re bolstering their forces!
Libya’s Supreme Security Committee says 120 prisoners have escaped from jail in the capital city of Tripoli, where security guards are suspected of having accepted bribes to free them.
The truth is though, …. that a way to destabilize a nation, is to release prisoners, especially those which are violent and terrorists. The “escaped prisoners” there in Libya, a nation whose people are by-in-large thankful to the U.S., are most assuredly those which side with the Muslim Brotherhood! The same tactic was used in Egypt during the Arab Spring riots there!
Spokesman Abdel-Moneim al-Hurr says only two of the 120 have been arrested since their escape Monday. It is the second “reported” jailbreak in Tripoli this year.
Prisoners say that since Libya’s uprising, some have been languishing in prisons without charge. They also say the courts have not moved to hear their cases, but it goes much deeper than that and once again, the AP buys it and passes it on the the American public.
