Because of what I write about, (closing in on 1300 articles) I do NOT answer emails; sorry, but I’m not stupid. I get too many death threats; no sense in giving anything away; I’d rather not have to defend myself.
A reader asked how I clear my thoughts and how I get my thoughts out.
To write, one must be: 1) informed 2) opinionated, 3) passionate and 4) practice, practice, and have a dedicated friend proof-read it and critique it.
Developing good reliable information is of major import. I’ve followed many issues I write about, for decades and have found good reliable resources.
I often write about Israel, Islam, Christianity, Politics, Patriotism, and Drugs – all controversial (why I get death threats). I know less about Islam than the others, but I study …. continue to learn!
I’ve been paid to write …. now that’s encouragement!
I do not “clear my mind”. That’s dangerous. If one must, write and let it sit for a night or a day – sleeping on it, is often a good idea.
I should re-write more often, before I publish, (my apologies); yet often, I change an article after it’s published … when I see a better way to say what I meant.
Often, I take an article which speaks to me (evokes emotion) and re-write it for my readers (always giving credit). If I have a gift at all, it’s putting things into simple language, and doing so in a straight-forward manner.
I can’t give much more info than that — other than write about what you know and are passionate about!
A couple things further ….. 1) In America, our media has failed us / sold us out / has become traitorous, and blogging is our only hope! 2) Ideas: find a hero you respect and write about them (Allen West for instance) – or something that angers you ….. (traitors).
Good luck.
