BOEING made a critical decision; they could have gone overseas for a cheap labor market, like many other corporations have ……
Instead, they decided to open another plant in South Carolina. Boeing’s action here, was an act of patriotism! Obama would’ve praised them if they’d moved to Kenya, Malaysia, or Zimbabwe!
But recently, Boeing built a second production line, which meant (over) 1,000 jobs in America, ….. but it’s not going forward. Why? Obama doesn’t want a recovery?
Boeing’s other business site is in Washington State. In South Carolina, it’s setting up its production-line in order to produce 787 Dreamliner airplane for markets around the world, but it came into conflict with Obama and the National Labor Relations Board.
Obama owes his election to unions …. yes; the same unions that drove the growth of foreign competion – manufacturers of other automobiles. Therefore, this is a conflict of interests! Why?
South Carolina is a Right-to-Work state. That means that employees could choose (if they want) to NOT join a union and to not support it financially!
There are 21 Right-to-Work states. Washington State is not! Is it that other businesses might follow Boeing’s lead and move to other Right-to-Work states? Is that what Obama is stifling? Why is Obama stifling the creation of 1,000 jobs there? Is it fear?
The general counsel of the NLRB, on behalf of the International Association of Machinists union, has issued a complaint against Boeing, which, if successful, would require it to move its South Carolina operation back to Washington State.
This would represent an unprecedented act of intervention by the federal government that appears, on its face, un-American. But it is an act long in the making, and boils down to a fundamental misunderstanding of freedom!
