What did your news source tell you? For some, it was all about freedom ….. For others, it’s the horror of the rape and assault of a newswoman that happened there. Google it if you don’t believe it! Or see the news at Mahalo.com ….
CBS News correspondant Lara Logan was beaten and sexually assaulted after being mobbed by a group of over 200 frenzied protesters in Egypt, the new authority announced Feb. 15, 2011.
While covering the celebrations in Tahrir Square the day Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down from office Feb 11, Logan got separated from the crew and was surrounded by the “frenzy” of protestors.
“She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers,” according to CBS News. She returned to the U.S. on the first flight the next morning and has sought hospital care.
Oh ….. a comment/question: When President Obama speaks about the Arab Spring, or the quest for freedom, did he comment on this? Should he have?
One more question; forgive me but should Americans patronize news services that did not report this incident?
Sorry; I just can’t let this go ….. neither should you!
Why are we about to give $20,000,000,000 in economic aid to Egypt before we see those 200 protesters in jail for 25 years?!?
