Michael Steele is gone; he gave up when it became clear, that he couldn’t win.
Personally, I don’t know, nor care whether he should have raised more money, which seems to be the claim as to why he should have gone. In one way, I think his replacement was a huge mistake.
The Republican Party is now drawing its’ last gasp; it’s dying and well it should!
Boehner, maybe, has a chance to breathe life back into the party, but the attack is already on and unless he’s willing to ignore the garbage, the Chicago-style attack, stand strong and go for the jugular, he too is toast, just like Steele, … along with all hope for Republicans!
The Tea Party is perfectly perched to replace them, and finally bring honesty and definition to the political system! Do they have the time to do so is the question, or will the country go under first?!
The Republican Party had a major chance to recruit more black voters with a black man at the helm but that’s not the “why” of the party’s impending death! Rather, it’s the corruption, it’s the pork and earmarks, but more correctly and succinctly, it’s being a mirror reflection of the Democrats, being an all-inclusive party, WITHOUT PRINCIPLES!
Legitimately, it got too hard to tell them apart. Liberalism and fiscal irresponsibility, will / can, no longer infect the conservative party!
Rather than the death of America, it’s the death of the undefined conservatives, and it’s way past time!
And now they’ve “de-selected Michael Steele, once again, they’ll probably be seen as an (almost) all white party.
Letting him go will look to the black, “sometimes voter” as bigotry, a mistake! A big mistake! Those politically astute, know better, but the stigma of being the “party of the rich” continues.
There are black leaders in the party …. yet what could have been, will now take forever; there was a chance, but now it’s dead, ….. Republicans are just like the dying newspaper industry, good riddance!
