Chicago’s own, Willilam Daley, Current Chairman of JP Morgan and former head of Dept. of Commerce, under Clinton, …., and brother to Mayor Richard Daley is looking at a job in the White House.
He’s perfect for this Chicago-style Corrupt White House especially as President Obama recently lost Rahm and is possibly losing Axelrod in the near future.
This appointment (of a powerful businessman) would facilitate Obama’s move to the center and bid for re-election – as Clinton advised.
So you understand, Daley’s loyalty, …. he was instrumental in getting NAFTA passed ….. sending more American manufacturing jobs out of the country!
NAFTA was “passed illegally” by circumventing the required 2/3rd vote of the Senate ….. it was named an “Agreement” instead of “TREATY” back in 1993 yet it’s still in court ….. just exactly the kind of person we need in D.C.!
This all reminds me of the other obvious and ignored Chicago-type of accepted corruption:
Some employees are simply irreplaceable. Take Michelle Obama:
The University of Chicago Medical center hired her in 2002 to run ‘programs for community relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity and minority contracting’ ….. all part of community organizing.
In 2005 the hospital raised her salary from $120,000 to $317,000 – nearly twice what her husband made as a Senator. Her position was a part-time / 20 hr. per week job.
Her husband, Barack Obama, had just become a US Senator. He sure had. He requested a $1 million earmark for the UC Medical Center, in fact. Way to network, Michelle!
Now that Mrs Obama has resigned, the hospital says her position will remain unfilled. How can that be, if the work she did was vital enough to be worth $317,000?
