Why do we not stop drugs at the source? Ask yourself “WHY?” There are all sorts of excuses given.
But why though, do our soldiers, those being asked to put their lives on the line for us, walk alongisde the Poppy fields of Afghanistan and ignore them?
Why do we leave their children slaves to the drugs?
It has nothing to do with a ban on nationbuilding.
Truthfully, I question if it has anything to do with the number one excuse – “our prohibiting the Afghani farmers from raising illegal drugs would be prohibiting them from making a living.” Enslaving drugs exist because powerful people allow it!
Could we not show them how to raise legal, productive and healthy crops? UPDATE: Here’s a good article a friend sent me after reading this. We have the technology …… we have the means, yet we allow them to remain slaves of he drug lords.
It’s almost as if this is our goverment …… just waiting for our youth, out of dispair / depression, over the decline of our way of life, to experiment, to turn to illicit drugs …..
It’s as if our government is intentionally doing nothing when their actions (striking at the crops) could prevent the social disaster at home.
Soldiers are instructed to ignore the fields; the DEA has been told the same ….. WHY?
George Soros has worked for decades to legalize drugs …… He has the power of the current and previous Democratic Administrations (and possibly Republican?) in his pocket as he plays both ends against the middle. Many believe the intent of allowing drugs into America, is only a small cog in the plan to bring America down.
DEMAND THE GOVERNMENT DESTROY THE AFGHANISTAN POPPY FIELDS! It funds our enemy ……. it furthers the Afghanistan corruption …… It draws the smugglers into America. It destroys our youth ….. it mounts a huge social cost onto the taxpayers.
What does ignoring the illegal drugs alone say to our troops? That these drugs make their way to America is no accident! It’s intentional! Is it what you want? TELL OUR LEADERS SO! STOP THE DRUGS AT THE SOURCE!
John,
It is my understanding that we are giving the afghans some help converting from poppy fields to other crops. I can’t remember where I heard it. Im sure it was on one of the talk shows or FOX news, as those are pretty much the only stations I listen to or watch.
We did for a while, but as far as I know, it was mostly discontinued …. if not entirely.
I just googled the topic and found this article

A great article; thanks!
