On msnbc.com website today, an article talks of the Department of Transportation (DOT) blocking cell phone use, …. while driving.
Not only would this be just one more repressive Big Brother law, many carry cell phones for the singular purpose of receiving emergency calls from our family, and that is our right … a right we pay for! But another ramification is that it would stifle service businesses as well who respond to emergency calls! Wait …. that fits in with the Obama anti-business policies, doesn’t it?
LaHood (Secretary of Transportation – guess that means he takes really good dictation while driving?) claims the public needs to be protected and the technology is there to stop distracted driving …..
I suppose next they’ll be looking to find a way so that people cannot swallow food or drink while driving, or an automatic window closer that will keep all germs inside the vehicle should one sneeze – the ultimate Nanny State ….. thanks to all the big brothers out there, but we’d rather you go sharpen your pencils and give us tickets ….. That’s just how the boys in DaHood are …..
