Hypocrisy and Self-Righteousness reign, at the building which continues as the center of the Ground Zero firestorm!
The building at the eye of the storm, was previously involved in controversy ….. still is! Was it coincidental that Islam’s symbol, Islamic crescent moon and star, ….. was the first, in a succession of IN-YOUR-FACE / Anti-War protest symbols pictured?
WHAT? Pro-Religion? You’re kidding, right? Well, they are pompous, portentous …. arrogant ….. Someone stop me now, before I make these idiots angry beyond belief ….. Note also, that they attempt to use a reference to the Tenach but in their unfamiliarity with it, they use it incorrectly.
Yet this building, now again at the focus of the controversy, had these religious symbols; was it a foreshadowing? Or was it only meant to be another self-righteous “message” …. by the insufferable moral superiority, of the anti-religious left?
The “COEXIST” symbols are pictured in the upper floor windows …… were meant to be seen by all …. as an anti-war protest, but they cannot see their own hypocrisy ….. yet it’s interesting, that years ago, …. they began first, …. with the Islamic crescent moon and star.
Also, the real estate developer behind New York City’s impending Ground Zero Mosque allegedly is delinquent on paying the property taxes for the site. The company, 45 Park Place Partners, is listed in arrears on the January 2010 and July 2010 payments for the site – the old Burlington Coat factory — a total, just shy of a quarter million dollar$.
A spokesman (for owner Sharif El-Gamal) told the New York Post this week the taxes had been paid, but the payment is not listed on the city records.
The discrepancy, if valid, could be a violation of the lease the company holds with the city’s electric company, Con Edison, which owns half the site – and might provide a legal opening with which opponents might further battle the development.
Grassroots efforts are continuing as opponents in New York City and across the country seek ways to stop the project. Meanwhile, the Greek Orthodox church, Saint Nicholas, is still on hold. As the flack over building the Mosque continues, people are now noting the trouble one church has as the powers-that-be, GREENLIGHT the mosque.
The N.Y. state governor is still working to attempt to convince the developer to meet with him; they continue to refuse. Mayor Bloomberg’s support for building the mosque has been exposed as a money-grubbing move; see story.
