ANOTHER VACATION? BUT WHERE?

Talking heads are asking why the Obamas went on vacation again.

But the pertinent question is, not “why.”   It’s “why did he go as far north in the states, as possible?”   I think it was a “message” to southerners.

He could have gone to Mississippi.  The “first lady” went south; she just finished a tour of the south, didn’t she?   ….. (Yea, but …. it was in her new designer dress – – – – – the dress that was said to have mimicked an oil spill).

I’ll ask it again, “why did they not go south instead?

A trip to the south would have been interpreted as supporting the people there, …. people whose jobs depend on tourism!   On a vacation in the south ….. he’d have been seen as indulging himself again, … as those around him worried about how they’ll survive …. whether they’ll lose their businesses, their homes, everything!  

So, …. a trip to Mississippi or Alabama was out of the question for someone who remembers his people’s heritage …… and is still so angry about the south’s heritage of enslaving his people! 

Don’t forget how often he and his supporters have played the race card ……. after his professor friend’s arrest, his comment that: “the police acted stupidly” ….. and then a failed “BEER SUMMIT” …..   And this week’s comment – the NAACP calling Tea Party members, “RACISTS.”

If he does hate, and many deeply believe he’s still very angry at the quadrant of the country that fought for their way of life which included slavery ….. if that were the case, surely, he’d send a not-so-subtle message …..  

How many trips has he made to the south during this oil spill?   Compare it to how much was President Bush condemned for so few trips during Katrina.   Where’s the condemnation of the media?  Is anyone reading “Ebony”?  It’d be interesting to see what they’re saying …. if they’re picking up, any subtle messages.
