“There are two ways to acquire the niceties of life:
- to produce them,
- or to plunder them.
When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves, in the course of time, a legal system that authorizes it, and a moral code that justifies it.”
(Paul Ambroise Valery – “Economic Sophisms”)

Though they do so by a new method, . . . American progressives plunder.
They’ve discovered, if they control the seats of government, they can vote the niceties for themselves . . . .
It doesn’t matter, . . . they decided they’d reject the long-established-morals and established “relativism”.
And from there, it was only a leap of faith to believing they had the moral high ground!
(Of course, one could just call being a “progressive” what it is – at the very least – a neurosis!)
