CRAIGSLIST: It’s NOT just prostitution!

 

Look for the Drug Sales.   Examples are below.

Taking Portland, for example, look at the Section in the Upper Left area – look under “COMMUNITY”; then click on “RIDESHARE”.

When you clikc on Rideshare, a number of postings will come up.   Don’t look through them all; it’s not necessary.   These people are just one place to find dealers, or people looking for dope.   Into the “Search for” box, type in “420”.

That’s (420)  “code” for pot.   These people who advertise here are asking . . . . NOT (always) for money, but they’re usually asking for someone to provide pot for a ride.   Remember, per ounce, pot is close to the cost of gold!

Some people are looking for money, and are telling potential riders ‘don’t consider coming with me unless you’re ok riding with someone who uses’.   Sometimes, that means they’ll be smoking while driving, but obviously, they’ll be driving high or they wouldn’t mention it!

Hey all in CL land,

There’s two others, one looking for riders to San Jose, today and returning on Tue 5/19; he says 420 is ok as well . . . .

This practice, endangers others!   Those who choose to ride with them and the people on the road at the same time!   It’s DWI!

So, what can you do to keep people from being killed?  

• You can talk to your local state police!  
• Lobby your State Attorney General.  
• Forward the ads to them.  
• Insist they enforce the law and prosecute users!  
• Monitor the situation to see that they are doing so / watch the papers – if you see there’s been an auto accident by one of the people who has advertised as a user or ‘looking for pot’, follow up on it and make sure the injured parties know this driver was a user.   It does NOT matter whether that person is a “medical marijuana” user.

Depending upon the extent of the injuries, these irresponsible people could be in jail for a long period!

Even of more import, is the fact that Craigslist could be, . . . should be, held liable as well, for facilitating the situation that results in personal injury!

Get involved!   It’s a public service!
