These bumper stickers proliferate, here in schizophrenic, bi-polar Eugene; it has to do with the city’s irrational, pie-in-the-sky-idealism, manifesting itself politically, as Anarchy.
Although the citizens of Eugene have not tattooed this on their foreheads, . . . not as yet, . . . the philosophy” extolled by these sticker , . . . . something for every liberal – is:

Islam, peace, male/female, judaism, wicca (witchcraft), Pagan, Taoism

everything from Religion, environmentalism, peace, social justice, civil liberties . . . .
It’s all accepted as worthy here, not what it is – mental illness – the imminent authorization for Jihadists to hit us again.

the meaning of COEXIST for me, being a member and carrier or the sticker and ideology, is support of the idea that all people one day can love one another…without hate, war, and injustice. Is this a lofty goal, absolutely, but is it a bad goal?
Your goal is not a bad one; I too try to live like that; I however, read their literature and watch their actions; you should as well. What you’ll find is that (not by our own choice) we have entered into a state of PERPETUAL WAR. They’ll chose to kill your loved ones when they get the chance. Our former position of ‘mutual threat of destruction’ does not work with those who worship death and think they’ll receive 72 virgins!
