New York had (what would have been, . . . had the president been aboard) Air Force One (one of the two duplicate 747’s that fill that position) and two F-16’s buzz the city and the Statue of Liberty . . . . Complete pandemonium below, people descended the stairs of skyscrapers in total panic – people on the streets ran in terror! Once again, for many residents, it seemed the War On Terror had come home.
What was this? What braindead idiot authorized it – Caldera? Who is he? You know what his name means? “Small Volcano”, appropriate huh?!
But the question behind the scene is “Why were they told NOT to warn the public?”
Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and Air Force One to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public.
In a memo obtained by CBS, the Federal Aviation Administration’s James Johnston said the agency was aware of “the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes” in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor’s office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out.
That belies the statement, that it a photo op, . . . . as the prez states!
So, was it meant to be only an insensitive, ridiculous, arrogant political gaffe?
Or maybe a laugh, . . . . from behind closed doors?
Or possibly a confirmation to the terrorists of the fear they’ve created . . . .
My friend says it was an Obama (instead of Bush) “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” abord the fleet starship? In fact, who is to say, he was not aboard? (Has anyone checked his whereabouts?)
Oh; this “photo-op” only cost the taxpayers $320,835.00; a bargain at half the price.
At the very least, it was a STICK-IN-THE-EYE-POLICY comment on President Obama’s Administration, actually stating: “We can do anything we damn well please, and you’ve got no control over us!” How long until the HOPE-NITIZED Democrats see through this arrogant man?
