“You’re known by the company you keep.” Something your mother warned you of, long, long ago – when you were young – you may have dismissed it, but now you’ve come to know it’s true.
Keep this in mind while trying to secure a grasp on just how dangerous our current president is, how his policies conflict with the will and the spirit of the American people!
One only has to look at his friends, and people he’s appointed to surround him to know what his agenda is and was – during the election, he only admitted part of it!
I’ll not go into Wright, Ayers, Rezko, Alinsky, Franklin Raines, Farrakhan, George Soros, Franklin Marshall Davis, Father Michael Pfleger, or pro-Palestinian / PLO Rashid Khalidi. Oh there are more, Pakistani friends, friends in high places, like Citi-bank, Pepsico, etc. and even the friendlyness with ruthless dictators, nor the nominee for HHS, a pro-abortionist, the tax cheats, the Socialists and outright Communists, . . . . ; can’t list them ALL . . . .
Not to get sidetracked, but I’ve already spent a lot of time expressing my concern about the Attorney General and his involvement in the “deportation” of a child whose mother died trying to bring him to freedom from the cruel dictatorship of Fidel – I’m referring to Elian . . . . and then there’s Waco . . . .
Today, let’s look at the appointments he’s made to the Middle East. Originally, it was Charles Freeman – that is until, Congress remembered they’d rejected him because of security concerns – probably his dealing with Iran – or maybe his working for a Chinese (gov. owned) oil firm; then it was George Mitchell; Congress didn’t seem to care that he’d presented himself as an Arab to get preferential treatment as a minority (and continued to do so) and held anti-Israel views.
Freeman was rejected; I’ve gone into Mr. Mitchell in another post.
Rosa Brooks is who we’ll look at here. Knowing her views on Al Qaeda and Israel would gag and anger Americans, (those who watched and cared – shades of Senator Schumer’s comment?), he appointed her anyway. It was his clear message to Israel and the people of the United States – yet exactly opposite what he’d promised in the election!
She is now advisor to the UnderSecretary of Defence for Policy in the Pentagon – one of the most powerful positions in the government. As a columnist for the L.A. Times, she claimed president Bush blindly and mindlessly supported Israel, which tells very clearly what she believes. She advocates that President Obama should be less willing to give Israel a “blank check” as Bush did and that it is Israel’s policy in the Middle East that is fueling hatred toward the U.S.
That is exactly what the enemies of the United States (those who consider us to be the “Big Satan”) want us to believe. Their goal is to get the United States to stop supporting Israel and from Obama’s actions and appointments it’s clear this is the reason he appointed her! The question is, how long will it take for the people to recognize this is so.
Also, in her columns Rosa (I cannot type her name without thinking of that other Rosa – an American hero and patriot, Rosa Parks) . . . Rosa Brooks distorted history in her deriding Israel. Regarding the 2000 Camp David Accords, she blamed their failure on the election of Ariel Sharon. Israel had offered the Palestinians 97% of everything they’d asked for and more – a separate state in Gaza, the West Bank, even parts of East Jerusalem and admitted they’d talk about the temple mount as well, yet Arafat turned it down and began his Intifida. Ariel Sharon was elected weeks later, rather than as she claimed – the reason he was elected? It was BECAUSE of the breakdown in talks and the uprising!
She is not that stupid. It was NOT an unintentional lie!
When taken as an overview, . . . . not to discount the role of Congress, all the people which our president has entrenched around him, it’s not outrageous to say a compelling case can be made that an uprising against what he has done could be a logical outcome and would give the government a right to institute marshall law.
