Three weeks ago, our air force shot down an Iranian UAV (drone); it was about 60 miles from Baghdad, 80 miles inside Iraq; Iraqi leaders have to be rethinking their deadlines about now!
Our concern over Iran’s support of Hamas and Hezbollah, though extending one of Bush’s sanctions, this all occurred while President Obama is attempting to thaw relations with Iran, regarding their nuclear program, one has to wonder if this a type of “sharp-stick-in-the-eye” answer!
With the phrase ringing in our ears, “the enemy of my enemy, is my friend”, we have to admit, fter an 8 year war between Iran and Iraq, where a million were killed, in the ’80’s it’s even possible the Shiite led governments, could align.
Iraq claims the drone’s intrusion into their airspace (tracked for 70 minutes) had to be an “accident”.
As President Obama attempts to engage Iran diplomatically over the violations of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to do “everything necessary” to stop the progress of Tehran’s nuclear program, once and for all!
Meanwhile, Iran TV is showing it’s own video of a U.S. Aircraft Carrier, stacked with fighter planes on deck; it’s not known how they got the pictures as there is a “protective bubble” around the U.S. warships and if one comes within range, one dies, yet they flaunt the video.
As for me, I cannot forget other videos – – – shown just before the 2nd Iraq war, the massive, miles-long caravan of 18-wheelers leaving Iraq headed into the Bekka Valley in Syria … They were said to be carrying WMD’s! No explanation has ever said differently.
This is not the time to have a naive president who thinks diplomacy with minimal sanctions will work, and at the same time, an ally we’re in the process of rejecting, who will not wait – he’s promised his people!
